The
Lanier Brass was organized some twenty years ago to play for celebrations,
weddings, recitals, public functions and dinner entertainment in and around
Northeast Georgia utilizing a varied repertoire including jazz arrangements,
transcriptions, show tunes and classical brass quintet literature. All
members of the Lanier Brass have taught music or are currently band directors
who see as part of their mission the education of all people, young and
old, in the importance of music and the personal fulfillment it provides.

Wallace
Conrath, Trumpet, is a veteran educator and has been
a freelance trumpet player in the Atlanta area for over 30 years.
He received his Bachelor of Music from The University of Miami, Master
of Music from Georgia State University, and Specialist of Education
from The University of Georgia. Currently. Mr. Conrath is the Band
Director at Buford High School, Director of Instrumental
Music at Peachtree
Corners Baptist Church, and performs as a soloist at
weddings and other special occasions. His professional associations
include Georgia Music Educators Association, Music Educators National
Conference, and the International Association of Jazz Educators. Mr.
Conrath is a member of the Gwinnett Philharmonic Orchestra and continues
to work with young musicians as a private instructor of trumpet and
other brass instruments. |

Marion
English, Trumpet, enjoys a versatile career as a freelance
trumpet player and music educator. Having received both Bachelors
and Masters Degrees in Music Education from the University of Georgia,
Marion has taught sixteen years in the Georgia public schools and
is in his sixth year as Associate Director of Bands at North
Gwinnett High School. He currently performs with The
Soul Purpose Band, the Still
Swinging Big Band, and has extensive experience in solo
performance for wedding ceremonies. Mr. English is a sought
after music educator, clinician, and adjudicator in and around the
state of Georgia serving in the Georgia Music Educators Association,
the Music Educators National Conference, and Phi Beta Mu, an international
bandmasters fraternity. ***Please visit

Tim
McKinney, Bass Trombone, is an active freelance musician
in the Atlanta area as well as a music educator. Tim recieved his
Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia
and is currently working toward a Master's degree. He has been a
music teacher for 12 years and is currently working as an elementary
band director for Fulton County Schools. In addition, Tim has been
invited as guest clinician and judge for various musical events.
As a performer, Tim is the bass trombonist for "His"
Symphony Orchestra and the
Victory Jazz Orchestra.Tim is also a member of the Georgia
Music Educators Association and the Music Educators National Convention.

Christopher
Plummer, Tenor Trombone, is an active freelance musician
in the Atlanta area. Chris received his Bachelor's and Master's
degree in Music Education from the University of Georgia, has taught
music in Cobb County for nine years, and is currently working for
Great American Opportunities,
Inc. He has been invited as a guest clinician, adjudicator
and performer for various groups in the state.

Charles
Brown, French Horn, is
the Associate Pastor of Instrumental Music at Hebron
Baptist Church in Dacula, GA. Prior to this, he was the
Director of Bands at Central Gwinnett High School, and is a former
horn performer for four years with the United States Army Ground Forces
Band based out of Ft. McPherson. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Music
Education from the University of Georgia, a Masters Degree in French
Horn Performance from the University of Illinois, and is currently
working towards a Masters Degree in Theology from Liberty University.
Mr. Brown is an active freelance horn performer and teacher having
performed with many different symphony orchestras across the United
States in venues including Chastain Park, Symphony Hall, and the Fox
Theatre with such notables as Harry Connick, Al Jarreau, The Moody
Blues, and others. |
